Linear and Non-linear Microlocal Analysis and Applications
FIRB - a project of the MIUR, Italian Ministry for University and Research
PROTOCOL: RBAU01XCWT_001 - COORDINATOR: Prof. L. Rodino

This is the homepage for the FIRB research project
"Linear and Non-linear Microlocal Analysis and Applications"
(Turin Research Unit)

The research topics that will be investigated are the following:

    1. Non-linear Microlocal Analysis
    2. Analytic and Gevrey Microlocal Analysis and Applications to Problems of Real and Complex Geometry
    3. Localization Operators and Applications to Signal Theory
    4. Microlocal Methods in Spectral theory and Operators on Singular Manifolds

The tools used for these studies are the typical ones from Microlocal Analysis, in particular: pseudo-differential and para-differential operators, Fourier integrals, symplectic transformations and wave front sets.

The project runs from November 2002 to October 2005, and involves scientists organized in 3 Research Units from the Universities of Turin, Padua and Ferrara.
