I was born in Casteldelpiano (GR), on February, 18, 1975. 

I attended at the local Scientific High School and, in the academic year 94/95, I started to study Mathematics at the Faculty of Science at the University of Siena. 

During the academic year 96/97, with a fellowship of the european Project "Erasmus", I spent six months at the ULB (Bruxelles).

I got my degree in mathematics, cum laude, on April, 15, 1999, discussing a thesis concerned with the geometry of obstructions for families of curves in the projective space. Advisor: Prof. Luca Chiantini. Abstract (italian).

From January to June and from October to December 2002 I was a research scholar at the Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado.  ( Some Photos)
